Schwartz, The ghostwriter of Donald Trump's bestselling memoir says that he came out to speak because
he “wouldn't have been able to forgive himself if he stayed quiet and Trump won
the election”.
He
feels guilty for making Trump "more appealing than he is”. He now compares
him to a pig with lipstick on. I think his views are with him, but he is breaching
the code of conduct for his job. Once he agreed to Trump's half-million-dollar
advance to write the book and give him credit, it is none of his business to
speak now when he has befooled the people and get them conceive a picture of
personality of what sort of guy Mr. Trump is. It’s OK, if you have done
something unintentionally and now you want to correct it but you are not an
ignorant person so to speak. In his reaction to the revelation Trump said “He
owes a lot to me. I helped him when he didn't have two cents in his pocket.
It's great disloyalty. He thinks it's good for him — but he'll find out
it's not good for him," …
